Fitting on outdoor fireplaces #115 and #120, the 12½” x 26″ painted steel plate, which is covered of an high temp paint, is used firstly, to block the space in front of the chimney. That way, the smoke and the sparks are expelled only by the chimney making it perfectly functional without dirtying its frontage unnecessarily. A 12½” x 26″ plate, whichever it is, is therefore mandatory for the proper functioning of models #115 and #120.
